Zamioculcas Zamiifolia Zenzi – Zenzi ZZ Plant

The Zenzi ZZ Plant is a relatively new kid on the block. It is a dwarf cultivar of the ZZ Plant with a thick, compact habit and very dark green leaves.

This fascinating, uber-modern houseplant is absolutely perfect as a desk plant, guaranteed to lighten the mood, no matter how dark the office!

Please note: these plants like to be pot bound and the grow pots can often be distorted into an oval shape.

Throwing shade… The Zenzi plant will thrive even in shaded areas, making it an ideal desk buddy for those not so brightly-lit spaces!

No touchy! Zenzi plants love being pot-bound so be careful not to handle or separate the roots too much as this can cause stress to the plant.

The Zamioculcas zenzi is drought tolerant, so don’t be afraid to let the soil get a little dry before watering.

Light

Zamioculcas zamiifolia is shade tolerant and is perfectly happy in a wide range of light conditions, from low to bright. Avoid direct sunlight however, as this may scorch the plant.

Watering

Water when the soil has started to dry out. This plant is drought tolerant so do not be afraid to let it go without water for short periods in order to avoid overwatering.

Temperature

The ZZ Plant does well in average to cool room temperatures, with a preferred range of 15°C to 24°C. This plant can tolerate temperatures as low as 8°C.

Humidity

The Zenzi ZZ plant will do fine in normal household humidity. Can cope with drier conditions for short periods if required.

Feed

Apply a weak dose of a liquid fertiliser once a month during the growing season.

Height & Growth Rate

The Zenzi ZZ Plant is a slow to moderate-grower, depending upon conditions, and typically reaches an ultimate height of around 30 to 45cm.

This plant is mildly toxic. Keep away from children and animals. Do not ingest.
