A lovely new Dracaena variety. Twister has a twisted shape similar to Tornado, with gorgeous dark green leaves. Dracaena Twister is an ideal plant for modern interiors. Comes with built in air filtering qualities as standard.

Horty Hints
Bad hair day! This plant likes being watered from the base. Watering from above will cause water to get trapped in the crown, eventually rotting the centre leaves.
Too dry for too long! Not watering often enough will cause the tips to turn brown. If you are watering often, the issue is the humidity. Time to start spraying.
Can’t handle the heat! These plants look like they like direct light, however too much sun will cause leaf streaking and eventually burning. Remove damage and remedy with some shade.
Light
Dracaena Twister is a versatile plant, coping with light shade through to bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight however as this may burn or bleach the leaves.
Watering
Water when the soil starts to dry-out at the top. Water well and allow to drain thoroughly. Relatively drought tolerant. Do not overwater as this will cause the leaf tips to blacken.
Temperature
Dracaena fragrans Twister prefers average household temperatures between 16-24°C but can cope with as low as 12°C for short periods.
Humidity
Dracaena are hardy houseplants and will do well in normal room humidity, however they do prefer higher humidity and will benefit from occasional misting.
Feed
Apply a weak dose of a fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season.
Height & Growth Rate
The Dracaena Tornado is a slow-growing plant which typically reaches an ultimate height of around 30 to 40cm.
Toxicity
The sap of the Dracaena fragrans is toxic to animals. It is not considered poisonous to humans but should not be ingested.

Origin
Like most Dracaena, the fragrans ‘Twister’ variety originates from tropical Africa.
